It's nice that a cycle path exists along this section along the A6, however its implementation leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, the path is very close to the carriageway with no barrier, secondly the cycle lane (green section) is too small for two cyclists to pass safely (in practice, you would use the pedestrian section of the path when passing, although a properly designed path shouldn't cause this issue), thirdly the traffic travelling at 70 (80) mph is DEAFENING, making the ride less enjoyable and causing short-term issues such as tinnitus and long-term issues such as hearing loss. Acoustic panelling would help to reduce noise levels & eliminate the possibility of an accident causing a fall into traffic.
