Those #BloodyCyclists jumping red lights again. Ah, this one is in a car. Or is it just someone driving not obeying traffic lights.
People drive through red lights about the same percentage as people riding do so. It's just normalised so we don't see it. However, when people drive through red lights it's much more likely to be as they change creating much more danger for other road users. This is borne out by hospital and police stats that show we do 100 times more damage in cars jumping red lights than we do when we ride through them. Neither should be acceptable, but let's focus on the area where most damage is done.
