Rather than taking the obvious route to the Forth & Clyde Canal adjacent to Duntreath Avenue, the signage indicates a route via Strauss Avenue, although I wasn't sure where it went after that, possibly onto Kirkwood Avenue and the lifting bridge across the canal.
