UPDATE 20/6/2016 To be legal the line needs to be continuous but Armadillos need to placed touching the line, ideally in the car lane or the cycle lane; this would increase the usable width by at least 10% and 20% if in car lane. ***Salford Great Clowes Street***. Recent installation of cycle lane with Armadillos. Armadillos and wands have just been placed in the road making the cycle lane narrower and allows debris to accumulate. NOTE the road surface has been improved but NOT for the cyclist.
