There is no stage at the traffic lights for cyclists where the cycle path crosses Runcorn Road. The direct line is obstructed by a fence. Cyclists need to follow the narrow pavement before turning sharply to make an unprotected crossing. Then on the other side ride up the steep ramp behind the fence.

I have seen a cyclist fall off while attempting to make the convoluted monoeuvre in the downhill direction.
