Manchester Stretford (Tram Stop) in Trafford . A space used informally by cyclists as a meeting point www.bikefriday.org as it is on a signed cycle route (avoiding the busy A56). This bus stop has been abandoned and the shelter removed (unfortunately) so should/could be used for cycle parking. May be even a pump and tool station to fix your bike en route. It's overlooked by both the car park and the tram stop (CCTV needs to be checked to make sure it covers this space). a dropped kerb would be good as well together with yellow hatching to deter cars stopping here to drop off. The location will be in site of many tram and car users so may encourage more to use bicycle - might be good for a cycle event advertising board with map of local cycle routes posted. May be the shelter can be reinstated .
