NCN62 TPT The latest Highways England standard OCT 2016 www.cycling-embassy.org.uk/dictionary/access-barrier states that these barriers must not be used at all, because they prevent access by various types of cycle, as well as other types of mobility aid, including wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Broadheath Altrincham on the NCN62 cycle route the access is obstructed by horse steps and a tight chicane. Te alternative access is through a car park and is almost as bad. The dropped kerb needs extending as well.
