UPDATE FEB 2020 Still no action in 3 years !!! Reported again at Request ID:1582710
Date and Time Submitted:01/02/2020 17:55 Carrington near Manchester. The hedges are not cut back sufficiently. It is the vulnerable road users that are particularly hard done by but even drivers will be shocked at the views of hidden signs. Original Report sent 17/01/2018 12:03:53 Request ID867329 Also Fix my street www.fixmystreet.com/report/929446 twitter.com/Cyclinstructor/status/1223675516559003653
1 View looking E: There are important warning order and direction signs hidden in these bushes. Even this large sign is obscured and slowly disappearing through poor maintenance.
2 View looking E: 40 mph sign is hidden. An easy excuse for drivers to speed and get away with it even when they are caught.
3 There's a warning sign for the traffic lights here. It's completely hidden.
4 Another view of the sharp bushes overhanging the road. They force cyclists far out into the road. Those that don't risk injury of scratches and eye damage – the shock may result in cyclist swerving into path of following vehicle. Nevertheless drivers have no patience for cyclists that take a safer path – some professional drivers of heavy vehicles are very bad some are very good though.
