NCN62 TPT The latest Highways England standard OCT 2016 www.cycling-embassy.org.uk/dictionary/access-barrier states that these barriers must not be used at all, because they prevent access by various types of cycle, as well as other types of mobility aid, including wheelchairs and mobility scooters. See #83860 and #83858 barriers obstructing the Trans Pennine trail . This requires even ordinary bike riders to dismount TWICE must be horrible for larger bikes and trikes etc.
Serious metalwork obstructing the Trans-Pennine Trail (NCN62). The kissing gate is intended for cyclists but it is easier to lift your bike over the low wooden horse entrance.
