The footway in the foreground was widened when it was converted to shared use (although the lampposts were left where they were), but beyond the toucan crossing the section to the shared use ramp to Old Polmadie Road has been left at its original width. Quite why a road of this nature was designed and built without anything for cycling is beyond me. Piecemeal conversions leave much to be desired.
