'End of Route' on NCN route 1 - in fact cyclists should cross the road ahead at the traffic lights and turn right.

Waltham Abbey - 950 years old, and still no cycle parking! (My bike is hidden behind the date stamp, at least in the thumbprint version.)

People are expected to pay for these cycle stands.

NCN route 1 seems to dead-end here but in fact turns 90 degrees left to cross the road at the traffic lights.

Work underway to convert the Abbey Street pedestrian crossing to a cycle crossing - the cycle lane on Newmarket Road is closed, with inadequate signing.
