The farm access road from Bar Hill to Girton is now signposted as a bridleway. The route to Girton is the narrow path just to the right of the obvious route. The footpath to the right should be improved as a cycle route to Eddington.
The farm access road from Bar Hill to Girton is now signposted as a bridleway - for a lot of cyclists this will be a better route to/from Cambridge than the cycleway by the A1307 past the crematorium.

The future route from Bar Hill to Longstanton and Northstowe currently ends here while a roundabout is under construction.
Transport England built a good bridge for Non-Motorised Users at Bar Hill (and also at Swavesey) which was fine for half a year, until a 'safety' audit led to barriers being installed, in contravention of the government's LTN 1/20.

Unmaintained path unceremoniously dumps you onto roadway. Someone left me a trolley, how thoughtful.
The Spine Path had some nicer parts that were well maintained and landscaped (despite the dry season killing the grass, sadly).
Path almost gone. Like pushing through the jungle. Except I can hear a very wide and fast-moving roadway on the other side of the hedge. No doubt the roadway is well-maintained, after all, it's for motorists.
Path junction with no visibility splays at all. Clearly not designed for cycling, nor for personal security. Very anti-social design, with the buildings turning their backs and presenting blank walls to the path. Unsurprisingly nobody wants … [more]
One of the entryways to the network of 'safe' paths within the development. Sadly, one of the better ones.
Exclusionary barrier blocking one of the main paths inside Bar Hill. Of course everyone just goes onto the grass...
The only cycleway connecting to Bar Hill dumps you onto the big wide perimeter road where you are left to fend for yourself against speeding motor traffic. Rather defeats the point of having safe separate paths...
exclusionary barrier preventing use of the path by tricycles, mobility scooters or other types of cycles
