Cargo trike The only way to travel for any self respecting toddler in Cambridge. Newnham corner is a bit of an awkward mess to negotiate unless you are heading up Barton Road. A widened pavement and a flat topped hump help.

Midsummer Common Technically a public footpath, and rather too narrow for shared use. This is never the less a useful and attractive route.

Grantchester path Technically a public footpath, very narrow (see how riders need to leave the path to pass), and with a poor surface. This is never-the-less a fabulous route into the city from the south.

Carter Bridge Both the footway and cycleway are below recommended width, and this causes congestion in rush hour, but this is a very useful and popular crossing of the railway.
