It's a shame cycling isn't allowed on the jeep track to the end of the Dixence dam

No Cycling sign, alas - the jeep track to the far end of the reservoir would be a very pleasant and easy bike ride.

The last MTB route signs in the Dixence valley - from here to the head of the valley there are only hiking routes. That's fine by me.

Cycle racks on bus (also visible in the satellite imagery!) at the Barrage de Dixence - that must be a slow crawl through the 13 switchback bends to get up and down!

No Cycling on this road up to the Dixence dam (lost in the clouds)

No pedestrians on this road due to falling rocks - I suppose cyclists should wear helmets.

Beware, this is NOT a road sign - it only marks the footpath down to the base of the Grande Dixence dam.
