See clip at http://youtu.be/gOeMarpER4A This is the cut through to Teversham Drift which keeps you away from the awful High Street environment. The barriers make it difficult for cargo bikes and child carriers. And there's no drop kerb.

Priorities are evident at this new development.

This drop kerb, leading to a puddle, is barely wide enough for a pram, making a mockery of the markings. The insufficient width makes approach to it a much tighter angle than should be necessary, and should there be another path user there, ... [more]

Apparently this drop kerb was set by cyclists fed up with either having to dismount or bump up the kerb. The path is a useful link to make a direct crossing of the A120.

Remove the dreadful chicane, add a drop kerb, and this is a perfectly good link between Old Heath Road and Littlebury Gardens.

New cycle symbol on the road at St Johns Green. The pavement alongside Southway has been transformed into a high quality cycle route. On second thought: the only difference is a badly placed 'Share the Space' bollard and awkward drop kerb.
