Grantchester 20mph

This doesn't seem so bad, but every time I make my way around this bend (every couple of days during the Covid-19 lockdowns) I end up with a car on my tail. [resurfaced by February 2021]

No Horses on this bridge on a permissive path to Grantchester - and no cycling either.

The Grantchester-Newnham track

As if this gate wasn't awkward enough to negotiate before, somebody has bolted a post onto the narrow cattle grid. Why is there so much resistance to making this busy, popular route to Granchester cycle friendly?

The Grantchester Meadows path just doesn't get any better. This is the condition after the County Council have allegedly "fixed" it. All it needs is a tarmac path between the end of the surfaced road to the start of the surfaced path. I am … [more]

Even in the middle of winter the bridleway between Barton and Grantchester is well used by cyclists, as can be seen by the multitude of tyre tracks in the mud. This really could do with a proper, sealed surface.

In dry weather, this bridleway is a much nicer way of getting to Cambridge than the busy A603. Unfortunately the surface is poor and drainage non existent so when it rains you arrive at work with your bike, bags, clothes and shoes … [more]
