The ramped, stepped bridge between Grantchester and Haslingfield. The lack of legitimate cycle routes connecting these two villages is a disgrace. Location: England, United Kingdom Grantchester, Cambridge

Grantchester Meadows path. Thistles and nettles growing out of the fence by 1m. These will reach half way across the new narrow shared path, visible in the background. Narrow paths, encroachment by vegetation, these are not new problems. ... [more]

Even in the middle of winter the bridleway between Barton and Grantchester is well used by cyclists, as can be seen by the multitude of tyre tracks in the mud. This really could do with a proper, sealed surface.

In dry weather, this bridleway is a much nicer way of getting to Cambridge than the busy A603. Unfortunately the surface is poor and drainage non existent so when it rains you arrive at work with your bike, bags, clothes and shoes spatt ... [more]

Oh no it isn't! Not for cyclists and pedestrians. See #65237

Lots of doom-laden signs warning that the road is closed between Grantchester and Trumpington - and guess what? Access as usual for cyclists and pedestrians.

Private access to St Catherine's College sports ground and (left) Quarter to Six Quadrant path - a shame neither offers a cycle link to Grantchester Road.

Looking northwards from the turning into the Rugby Club where traffic calming measures are proposed.

The detectors at the traffic lights didn't seem to be detecting bikes in the cold weather.

Traffic-calming chicanes proposed here, I believe.
