Route signs once you've made the turn off the old A10. The Dead End sign has clearly been turned 180 degrees.

The cycle route is signed after you turn off the old A10 - there's no real indication that you should cross and turn off however.

How strange that the Melbourn-Shepreth cycleway suddenly turns into this - it's really not obvious that cyclists should cross to the other side.

How nice to have a sign on the new cycleway. What a shame cyclists are left wondering how to actually reach it.

There's no easy or obvious way from the road onto the new cycle path.

New cycleway east from Melbourn - shame that cyclists have to divert to the gates of the science park (out of sight to the left).

The Icknield Way.

Footpath by the A10 Melbourn bypass (the cycle route from Cambridge runs through the village).

There's a dropped kerb already at this end of the path to Meldreth station - it wouldn't take much improving to officially allow cycling.

Asphalt path to Meldreth station - maybe when the A10 cycle campaign have succeeded in getting decent cycle tracks along the A10 they could turn their attention to improving this for cycling, with plenty of parking by the London-bound … [more]

The only alternative to the busy A10 for students cycling from Melbourn to Royston - this could easily be improved for cycling.

Footpath on the former Melbourn-Royston road - should be improved for cycling.

Mysterious green lane in the heart of Melbourn, not marked on maps.

A better cycle route could be provided on the line of the old main road through Melbourn.
