Gleaston Mill cycle stands

The Bay Cycleway turns off the A5087 to follow quiet roads through Bardsea. Now, due to Sustrans vandalism, anyone following the red 700 signs could miss the turn off and continue to follow the A road.

Toucan crossing #195141 enables cyclists riding on the Bay Cycleway to cross the junction legally by bypassing the prohibited right turn. The awkward shared use design is not up to modern standards.

The jetty at Arnside is a great spot to take in the view of the Kent Viaduct on the Bay Cycle Way.

Directions at the end of the Millennium Bridge. The City Loop cycle route is on top of the viaduct, accessed from the other leg of the bridge.

No Cycling on this staircase! The stairs lead to a footbridge attached to the side of the railway bridge high above the river. Probably as quick to cycle to the Millennium Bridge now than to lug a bike up and down these stairs.

A bit of a blind corner, but widened enough to take the turn away from the stonework.
