A triangle of new paving has been placed to the side of the large barrier at Buchanan Wharf, because people were walking across the flower bed to get past the barrier. This is also the cycle diversion for NCN756 until the cycle track at … [more]

Another view of #172734, showing the narrow footway between the toucan crossing and the boundary fence.

The new ramp from Firhill Road and Garscube Road up to the Forth & Clyde Canal and the bridge to the Claypits nature reserve is now open. In addition to the ramp, there are steps available for pedestrians. Part of the Nextbike hire station … [more]

Not a promising look for the Sighthill "cycling village". A toucan crossing with not even a bike's length between the kerb and the fence at the back of the footway. See also #172813.

Brand new archaic cycle parking at newly built property in Minerva Street. How do you securely lock a bike to these? See also #174560.

Guidance Path tactiles installed just a few metres away from the correct Cycleway type.

A flooding problem on the road to Robroyston station.

This appears to be a new path over to the Union Canal access ramp at #101130, but has old school barriers making cycle access difficult.

The path beneath the A8(M), Scotland's shortest motorway, has now been completed. I can't help but think they could have been more generous on the width. Not that lots of people will use it, but passing a couple of people walking a dog will … [more]

A 'Cyclists Dismount' sign at a pedestrian crossing? Why hasn't a toucan crossing been installed here?

No option for taking a shortcut down the embankment from the footbridge. Pedestrians have to walk this unnecessary distance too!

If the route to Bellshill and Coatbridge is so important, why does the shared-use footway alongside the A725 basically peter out at the top of Bogs Brae?

So tell me again why there isn't a ramp from the far side of this bridge directly towards Strathclyde Country Park to the right?

The most indirect route possible has been chosen for the cycle route between Bothwell and Strathclyde Country Park through the Raith Interchange.

I did suggest at a meeting with Transport Scotland that they link the two bridges across the Raith Interchange roundabout with a bridge over the M74 motorway, creating a far more direct route. But they weren't having it. "Eyesore" or … [more]

The path linking Bothwell and the Raith Interchange shared-use paths still looks like a building site, despite the motorway junction having been open for several months.

The path suddenly gets wider!

Reinstated access (possibly temporary) between the Springburn Expressway footbridge and Pinkston Drive, during the Sighthill redevelopment. Old and new buildings can be seen to the left. UPDATE 2020: The path is now shut - see #112923.

https://t.co/UkHL3Ellvn The other end of the narrow path seen in #96166.

https://t.co/tsUEhTAIsK A narrow two-way cycle track between a new housing development and the railway viaduct. There was a cycle track here before the housing was built, and it went through a car park and was wider (see old Google … [more]

The as yet unopened cycleway beneath the Bredisholm Road bridge, next to the M8 motorway. The path appears to be routed around a SUDS pond, after which it rejoins a position adjacent to the motorway. Not sure a road would be designed like … [more]

The as yet unopened cycleway beneath the Bredisholm Road bridge, next to the M8 motorway. Note that the signs at the junction with Brediholm Road are for destinations requiring a sharp turn and no destination is given for straight ahead.

The new bridge over the A8 and M8 for Bredisholm Road is still not quite ready! Note that the sign on the left says it's a No Through Road, but the sign on the right gives destinations reachable via this road. Highly illogical! But no … [more]

I don't know why this path wasn't made wider, placed further away from the fence, and asphalted. Too narrow to pass anyone without that person stepping aside.

A replacement bridge for Bredisholm Road over the widened M73 motorway.

The replacement Bredisholm Road farm road access bridge across the A8 and M8 motorway was originally meant to be ready to reopen in July 2016, but looks like there is still quite a bit of work to do if it is to meet the revised target of … [more]

Lots of new buildings appearing in Collegelands.

Path to the Golden Bridge over the A9 dual carriageway.

The Dantzic Street cycleway studs lead users to the carriageway, but for how long is it two-way? The base of the bollard that has been removed could be a trip hazard for pedestrians.

The Dantzic Street cycleway studs to the south of Miller Street align with the toucan crossing, unlike across the other side (see #72825).

The studs on the Dantzic Street cycleway don't align with the toucan crossing across Miller Street, and the street furniture does not help guide users to the crossing either.

Cycleway across paved pedestrian area marked only by studs.

A new path has been laid between Bells' Bridge and Pacific Drive. A toucan crossing has been provided across Pacific Drive and the adjacent Fastlink busway. They don't meet up and force users to make a zigzag or cut across the grass.
