Finally got round to trying out the cycle track between Raynes Park and New Malden today. For five minutes I felt like a Dutch person. Just shows what can be done. https://t.co/33EQh3FOOX

Access for people on bikes scrapped for a proposed safer link between Burlington Rd and Cock's Crescent in New Malden. Concern from police about "cycle enabled crimes" and "conflicts between cyclists and pedestrians" ⛔ https://twitte ... [more]

Racks opposite New Malden station are full but there's plenty of space for more!

Main road with narrow cycle lanes and obstructive delivery vehicles.

If this asphalted path were opened up for cycling it would link with The Cut to New Malden station.

Asphalted path parallel to the railway - a little work at the far end would open this up to cycling.

To continue west from The Cut you have to cross the road and the level crossing.

Link to the cycle route to New Malden station - a shame that Melrose Gardens is shown as a dead end at its other end. Roads are not only for cars.

Diversion due to pipe replacement wotk

The Cut - segregated route beside the railway to New Malden station.

The Cut - why does the sign to the station show this as a pedestrian route only?

I think a lot of the cycle route signs in this area have been pushed around.

Contradictory signage - is it a No Entry or a dead end? In fact it's a through route for cyclists (northbound).

Traffic-calming with good cycle bypasses.

Sheffield stands squeezed in where possible outside New Malden station

Start of The Cut, a good route alongside the railway, opposite New Malden station

Covered cycle parking opposite New Malden station, at the start of The Cut, a good cycle route alongside the railway.
