Cycles only parking space - without any racks on Regent Terrace. So these rackless spaces are primarily for on-street cycle hire bikes. See #113301.

I see Parker's Piece has been left in a traditional state! @Sam_in_Cam @ACarpenDigital

Annual Barometer check at Parker’s Piece. It is completely full to overflowing, suggesting at least 1.5 million bikes. We’re going to need a bigger barometer!

The cycle counter barometer on Parker’s Piece is blank on both sides - so no way of knowing the number of “Cyclists this year”. Additional comments at:

Bent signpost possibly caused by a passing high sided vehicle such as a van being driven without sufficient attention.

Curious cycle parking area on Regent Terrace having no racks. I don’t think this is new but it’s the first time I’ve noticed it. Update 24 Jan 2022: The purpose seems to be to accommodate cycle hire bike parking, see: #178074.

This post was previously a 'nicking point' - see #12786. The newly fixed signage not only warns potential thieves they might get a criminal record, but acts as a physical barrier to lifting bikes over the top.
