[Image taken 25.1.22] Blake Street, York. The round sign facing Duncombe Place says, No vehicles. The bollards between Blake Street and Duncombe Place are removable. But could longer designs of cycle (other those with a trailer) park here … [more]

[Image taken 25.1.22] Blake Street, York. This man’s cycle has permanent panniers. (That makes it a ‘York’cycle – set up for utility use.) He has a typical chap’s shape – no bum, no tum, and the widest part of him is his shoulders and these … [more]

[Image taken 25.1.22] Blake Street, York. The minimum space between uprights/supports of Sheffields is 100cm. But this is too little to be practical and comfortable (see: #177859). I think 150cm should be provided within clumps of racks: … [more]

Five tightly spaced cycle parking stands, unsigned and hidden behind the trolley stack, at Aldi, just off Great Western Road.

These Sheffield stands are spaced in a way that only one bike can be fitted between stands. They leave about half the required space between stands.

Packing more Sheffield stands into a limited space reduces the number of bikes that can be parked. These stands leave about half the required space between stands.
