No Cycling on this staircase! The stairs lead to a footbridge attached to the side of the railway bridge high above the river. Probably as quick to cycle to the Millennium Bridge now than to lug a bike up and down these stairs.

The NCN62 connection between the canal path and Ormskirk Road is via a flight of steps, although a wheeling ramp has been provided.

Since this sign is not visible for those approaching from the opposite direction, I can only assume that this sign is aimed at cyclists cycling down the spiral stairs!

The lifts are small and the guide channel dysfunctional. People have to carry their bikes up the stairs.
