There's a largely redundant dual-carriageway, but instead of taking a lane to provide the missing link cycleway between Swavesey and Fenstanton, they're spending much more time and money on a new alignment in the fields.
There's no safe crossing of the A1307 here, but the shared-use path on the far side simply ends and cyclists towards Fenstanton are supposed to head north on the A1307 here (but it seems the farm access road to the west is an alternative).
This farm access road allows cyclists to reach Fenstanton and beyond without riding on the A1307 - a temporary measure until the cycleway by the A1307 is completed in mid-2021.
