Round headed nuts have been fitted to the racks at Cambridge North station. This was after a spate of thefts in which the racks were unbolted. Thank you Greater Anglia for sorting this out (at last).

The wheel still attached to the lamppost, the bike frame upturned on the handlebars and rear wheel missing. I'd guess that this is a classic case of theft of bike parts. A few days later: #94340.

Remnants of stolen bikes need to be removed from bike rack in front of Tesco Express. The are obstructing pavement and impair proper use of bike rack.

You needn't have a quality bike but if you cherish what you ride use a decent lock and mind where you lock it. Broken bikes and broken locks are a too familiar sight behind the Brewers Arms on St Johns Street. See also #65993.

A ransacked bike.

The sign says that there have been bike thefts recently, with locks being cut. Part of the problem is these dreadful cycle racks that make it very difficult to secure a bike properly.

It seems that Leicester, like Cambridge suffers from a peak of cycle theft in October. Thefts have occurred in the university areas of the city.
