Trumpington busway stop
Look Both Ways white lining has been refreshed.
Covered cycle parking at Trumpington Park n Ride.
When I saw the supermarket car park being resurfaced, I didn't expect them to fix the shared-use path from Maris Lane - but they've done a great job (although there's still a bump on/off the road).
Covered cycle parking at Bidwells - a positive move from major local property managers.
Cycle parking at three access points to this park in the centre of Clay Farm.
Bizarre - no access through the hedge to this crossing.
Start of an impenetrable hedge which stretches a couple of hundred metres, including past a crossing.
Obviously there's a cycleway to the left, but it would be good to have an Except Cycles plate under the No Through Road sign.
Access to this new park is directly from the guided busway. How can that be safe? No dropped kerb, so no wheelchair/cycle access.
Link from Clay Farm to Addenbrooke's Road
One small house with three cars (one hidden) - despite having cycle and bus routes to Addenbrooke's and central Cambridge. What a waste.
This should be part of a 'strategic cycleway' through this new development.
Absolutely no attempt to complete the 'strategic cycleway' and link to the Clay Farm Community Garden
Absolutely no attempt to complete the 'strategic cycleway' between these two parts of the Clay Farm development.
Access to office development, Trumpington - this needs to be kept clear (cones to stop people driving through are not enough). [Now gated off - great!]

Trumpington Park 'n' Ride site.
Two columns each of 16 toastracks plus 8 toastracks in between the two columns. Each toastrack can accommodate 8 cycles.
That's a total of (16 + 16 + 8) * 8 = 320 cycle parking places.
These fit into 28
Nonsense! It's a through route for cycles (and why is there a 50-metre gap in the shared-use provision here?)
BMX / skateboarding track very popular and it’s still fenced off and does not appear to be officially open as yet.
BMX in use before it’s officially open!
The Trumpington 'strategic cycleway'. Still mud, years after the houses have been occupied.
Selfish motorist blocking a badly built dropped kerb (25mm upstand) on the Trumpington 'strategic cycleway'
90cm gap between bollards on the Trumpington 'strategic cycleway'
Trumpington 'strategic cycleway': leaves and gravel
Trumpington 'strategic cycleway' surface: gravel, leaves and evidence of slippage
Trumpington 'strategic cycleway'.
End of the 'strategic cycleway': gravel and right-angles. More crap from a crappy developer.

Bridge strike
This path is going to have to be surfaced and improved for cycling soon.
The X46 bus from York to Hull via Market Weighton now carries two bikes (no extra charge).
New cycleway to the right to Trumpington Park
Another day another stupid Cyclists Dismount sign - some lawyer must think it's logical to reach a cycleway and dismount, but no-one else will.
New bridge and cycleway by the guided busway
Poor track to the guided busway stop - dropped kerb needed
Cycleway parallel to the Busway
Unpaved track from the Busway to Clay Farm

Cut-through to Addenbrooke's Road - shown as a cycleway on OpenCycleMap but not wide enough for a new development.
Too much space for cars in this new development
Parking on the footway seems to be part of the plan at this new development in Trumpington.
New development in Trumpington with car parking but no cycle facilities.
Cut-through to Addenbrooke's Road
Route at the rear of Waitrose, Trumpington - there are barriers at the far end, but people are just going around them.
I had no idea there was a route around the back of Waitrose (the sign asks people queueing 2 metres apart during the Covid-19 lockdown to keep the right of way clear) - the barriers are pointless as people are clearly taking bikes, trolleys
At last - signage at this major junction on the Busway (no idea why there's a bike there).
A nice wide shared-use route becomes a narrow footway once it's met the road here.
No Entry Except Buses - no mention of bikes at this rising bollard, but thankfully they're using it anyway.
Link to the Addenbrooke's-Trumpington cycle route
Not a totally car-dominated development then.

No longer just a footpath - this should be signed as a route from central Trumpington to the busway and Addenbrooke's
Just put up a sign on an inadequate footpath and call it shared-use ?

Ridiculous 'Cyclists dismount and use footway' sign.
Meanwhile, the works are preparing to narrow the shared-use path in order to create yet another traffic lane! It's like I stepped into a time machine and ended up back in the 20th
@cyclestreets Reported issue on Council scheme. It's only just been reported by someone else & closed without anything happening. #Cambridge #Trumpington https://t.co/whaa55xxEW
