Contraflow cycle lane on Union Road.

Cyclists on the shared footway are directed down a side street. Hamilton is still 3 miles away (see #89452 and #65152).

Just a normal day on the Howard St contraflow cycle lane. Curiously, although "except cycles" signs have been provided on the traffic signals, there are no mandatory left turn signs.

I'm guessing that Jamaica Street will be resurfaced when the contraflow bus lane is abolished (and a new one is created in Midland Street). But in the meantime, some gas covers need attention, as does the dip at the stop line.

"Look both ways" has been added to the carriageway at the Berkeley St/Claremont St junction, in what looks like a lettering size intended for pedestrians.

The Water Street 2-way cycle track ends with a left turn into Covent Garden, which leads through to Chapel Street.

A facility has been provided to allow cyclists to head straight up Water Street for a bit, to avoid the gyratory at Chapel Street.

Cycles allowed to make right turn outside Oxford Road station into Whitworth Street West (and thus access Oxford Street), when other vehicles restricted to left turn only.

A new contraflow cycle lane on Cardonald Place Road ahead, but no exemption for cycles from the mandatory turn into Cardonald Gardens. In the distance, cars parked in the contraflow lane, just like in #71119.

The unmarked gap between the traffic islands must be for cyclists turning right along NCN1, against the signs at this junction, but marked by Sustrans volunteer stickers (see also #61837).
