189809 | This is a very steep uphill section of the A369 and as there’s a wide grass verge it could be turned into a short 75m cycle-lane between the two junctions of Happerton Lane; could also be shared with pedestrians. |
Cycleway: Problem |
|
189808 | Please install 30-metres of pavement onto the existing grass verge from the west end of the bus stop and up to the beginning of the layby. From that point one can cross over to the bridleway and footpath to Pill. This would prove to be a great benefit to not only the nearby community at Markham who have used this route for over 150-years for the services and schools in the village of Pill, but also for numerous walkers who venture up from the village and then onto the many public footpaths leading off of Happerton and Common Lane, including a section of the renown 27-mile Gordano Round. Thank You! |

[Image taken 22.1.23] Scarborough Terrace, York. People step off the steps from the 'glass bridge' and cross to it without checking for road users. Drivers come fast round the corner visible and take it wide. Cyclists need to be able to trust the integrity of the surface beneath their wheels and concentrate on what is happening to the left, right and ahead. Other image here today: #189789. |
Pothole: Problem |
189789 | ![]() |
[Image taken 22.1.23] Scarborough Terrace, York. Damaged tarmac that has deteriorated in the past week – York has had freezing temperatures. This road is used by people on foot, cycles, mobility scooters, wheelchairs and with wheeled walkers… because the pavement is narrow and uneven. There are far more ‘people’ users than motor vehicle movements. Other image damage here today: #189790. |
Pothole: Problem |
189788 | The route from the hospital to Bleadon and beyond on the A370 is frequently used by cyclists but is extremely fast and dangerous. The pavement is inadequate for both cyclists and pedestrians and needs widening so more people can use it, especially as there is a large caravan park alongside it. |
Cycleway: Problem |
|
189787 | According to the OS Map there is a right of way from here to The Beach and it is one that I use occasionally. There is the evidence of a footpath sign here which has, however, been clearly ripped off its post. The owner of the house at the top of the lane had put a gate across to deter access. If this is a right of way it should be clearly marked on Copse Road or the gate that has been placed across it. It is not clearly marked at The Beach end either. |

189786 | The temporary pedestrianisation of Old Church Road here is a total failure. Car users show little or no respect for this restriction and often speed through this section of road to The Triangle. A suggestion to make it less attractive as a rat-run would be to change the direction of flow so that it is from the Clock Tower towards Great Western Road, allowing a left turn only northbound at the Clock Tower and then a left turn only at the lights at the cinema end of Old Church Road. This would remove its attractiveness as a shortcut but still provide adequate access for commercial and residential traffic with the need for access. |
Temporary closure: Problem |
|
189785 | The signs at the end of Station Road (which is pedestrianised) show that the pedestrian zone ends there when in fact it does not. The right turn is onto Old Church Road which is also (theoretically) pedestrianised for most of the day. This adds to the to the almost total lack of respect for this restriction. These signs need to be updated, removed or replaced. |
