A contraflow cycle lane has been created on Argyle Street, but it is full of broken asphalt and dislodged stonework, and is nowhere near a smooth ride. With on-coming vehicles now in the centre of the carriageway (as in #139536), less oppor ... [more]

We asked for #SpaceForPeople, but we didn’t ask for skinny lanes, no segregation, and real life experience of the surface of the moon! We can do better! ☹️ https://t.co/dHxTevjhpx [See also #139536]

Poor surface, hasn't been maintained in a great many years

Stamford Hill

One problem with forcing motor vehicles onto one bit of the carriageway is that it needs more maintenance.

Road surface collapsing where heavy vehicles accelerate away from the junction.

Disintegrating tarmac, looks like the original road surface prior to this road getting cut off

This doesn't seem so bad, but every time I make my way around this bend (every couple of days during the Covid-19 lockdown) I end up with a car on my tail.

Collapsing utility repairs in Cambridge

Second set of traffic calming on Startpoint St, Cranhill. Poor road surface and no drop kerbs.

Potholes on Mill Lane - the Covid-19 lockdown might be a good time to fix a few holes?

A missing section of asphalt on the Glen Road path.

Most of the gullies on this section of road appeared to be blocked, but this one was also dislodged from its mounting.

After the path has been "fixed"... still full of water filled potholes

After the path has been "fixed"... still full of water filled potholes

After the path has been "fixed" again... still a crater field

This could be a quiet shortcut but unfortunately the surface is very badly degraded.

Very dangerous potholes as usual on Station Road. [Fairly slapdash repair by the morning of Monday 16/3/20 - the end of Pothole Watch Week]

This road west to Spike Island is in terrible condition, which is a real shame as it could be a good link to Runcorn.

A big hole in the path between the bollards, and evidence of flooding and poor drainage.

The cost of poorly maintained cycling infrastructure... Frame snapped in two at the bottom bracket, from the battering it receives from Newnham's potholes.

Serious rocky lump at chicane through on north side And can we get rid of the chicanes?

I've pretty much given up reporting potholes like these, but maybe I'll try again.

Lensfield Road is falling apart, as usual, with gravel being thrown up.

I've more or less given up reporting potholes in Cambridge, but this one is bad, with loose stones being thrown around. In addition, if a driver knocked someone down on the zebra crossing they'd get away with it, as any competent lawyer wou ... [more]

The paint to the left shows where the old "cycle path" began, leaving the carriageway. The footpath on the right is in terrible condition and does not improve the further north one walks.

Extremely poor surface on this road, with very deep potholes and poor lighting.

The Grantchester Meadows path just doesn't get any better. This is the condition after the County Council have allegedly "fixed" it. All it needs is a tarmac path between the end of the surfaced road to the start of the surfaced path. I am ... [more]

They don't make 'em like they used to!

The road surface at the end of Callendar Boulevard is even worse than this photograph! There is a painted cycle lane on the left side of the carriageway, but not the right.

Nasty new pothole next to the repair done in March (#97265) - couldn't they just fix the whole stretch of road?
