This is the end of a cycle route that supposedly takes you to Watford town centre. However it ends here at the end of Market Street which is a one way road (leading *out* of the town centre).

A good example of permeability. Cars can't access Rickmansworth Road from here, but cyclists can access the bike lane.

The lack of space at this crossing brings cyclists into conflict with pedestrians, but at least it provides a somewhat safer way for cyclists to get to Whippendell Road. The crossing with lights is actually a toucan crossing.

Cyclists use this narrow path to avoid the large double roundabout ahead. It should be widened and marked out as separate bike path and pedestrian path for everyone's safety.

Rather than protecting cyclists outside this busy garage, Herts Highways decided it would be better to just end the cycle lane at this point. Not that a strip of painted road affords any protection mind

The markings of this cycle lane, at the very least, suggest some sort of priority for cyclists over cars turning into the side lane.

There is a huge amount of space on this road for cars, pedestrians, and proper Dutch-style segregated bike lanes.

Just as this stretch of road starts to get more dangerous, the bike lane ends.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's illegal to park in a bike lane if it's bordered by a broken line.

Royal Mail have only been at this location off the Ebury Way for a few months, but they have already installed a decent bike shelter for their employees.
