Heading towards Tolworth the segregated cycle track ends at the car sales place. Cyclists have the legal options of dismounting and walking or to cycle on the road.

The Tolworth Greenway newly completed in November 2013. The green stripey bit in the middle of the carriageways can be cycled on. It is shared with pedestrians who are mostly crossing from one side to the other.

The Royal Borough of Kingston aka Kingston Council, ('Biking Borough' and bidder for 'Mini-Holland' funding), has installed NO CYCLING signs at each end of the path that goes through Fairfield Recreation Ground. The local neighbourhood committee rejected a proposal for a widened segregated path that would have formed part of a useful north-south route. Instead, children such as this are breaking the law.

Kingston's bike pump by Cyclehoop in Clarence Street by Little Wood Street. The Kingston Cycling Campaign (KCC) was awarded an 'Environment Grant' from the council. We said that better pressure in tyres makes cycling easier and helps prevent punctures. We hope it's appreciated. KCC will maintain it. John was the project manager.

Fairfield West looking south. Local NIMBYs claim that this is a 'perfectly good' cycle lane and that a path across the middle of the Fairfield is not needed. Because parking is allowed on the west side of the road and the remaining road space is not generous, driver habitually drive in the contra-flow cycle lane leaving very little space for cyclists. You can see how worn the white line is. The surface is in a shocking state too.

Fairfield path looking south from Fairfield Road end. Some people have objected to the council creating a segregated 2m for cycles/ 2.5m for pedestrians or shared use path. You can see that the existing path is not wide enough for the existing use it gets as the margins are worn and have been hardened at some point in the past.

View of Fairfield Path looking north from Fairfield South. Some people have objected to the creation of a wider footway and a segregated cycle path. You can see how much width is actually used now. The path is not wide enough as it is.

A feeble design bicycle 'toast-rack' parking facility outside the surgery. It doesn't properly support the bike and there's not enough distance between it and the planter. And it's made from galvanised steel not stainless steel. Other than that it's fine.

There are bike racks here but more would be useful. Note the bikes on the right locked to the yellow railings.

More needed by Rose Theatre/ Wagamamas. How come they can build a 900 seat theatre and not provide any bike parking nearby?

Some cycle parking near the entrance to Sainsbury's would be helpful - at the moment people lock their bikes to the trolley parking bays, and the staff take their bikes inside the building. This triangular toast rack bike parking has now been replaced with Sheffield stands under a shelter following complaints by the Kingston Cycling Campaign.
