This is the NCR21 at Addington. No, really! Perfectly pleasant - but not on a road bike... |

NCR 4 at Watergate Street, Deptford. There is a route marking on the lamppost but it's hard to see with all the other largely confusing signs, most of which are redundant. I love the road narrows sign. |

Shared use pedestrian and cycle path that is badly signposted and there is no lane marked on the pavement. Note also that there are bollards at the beginning of the bridge which force walkers (and there's usually lots of them here) and bikers into the same space. Cycle with caution. Better marking would help. |

This is where the NCR21 meets up with NCR4 and local routes 2 and 18 by Creek Road bridge, London SE8. Building work has made the route sign almost invisible (it's behind the red barrier) and, as it's the last place for free parking before Greenwich, the narrowed route has been obstructed. |

Do not lock your bike here - it may be removed ''for aesthetic reasons.'' However, there are no signs indicating where the (completely unsatisfactory) bike sheds are hidden. Shouldn't hospitals be supporting healthy exercise rather than discouraging it? |

Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Leave a bike outside main entrance and they threaten to remove it - for aesthetic reasons. Use their bike shed and thieves will take it away. Note the ramps in the foreground have already been forced off the ground. At least this bike is secure... |
