57169Photo #57169GJ06TZG - apparently owned by Motoworks - parked on the pavement at a junction, blocking the cycle track. When I suggested that the driver park legally like the rest of us, he said he didn't want to pay five pounds and made a mild threat in terms of my 'karma'!Enforcement:

37286Photo #37286This vehicle seems to be parked as a permanent advert for D'Arry's. It overhangs the cycle lane. Is this really appropriate?Obstruction:

37284Photo #37284This chicane is difficult to use, particularly when you have panniers. It is impossible for a cyclist to avoid encroaching on the pedestrian site.

This chicane should be re-built to a higher standard. The distances should meet the standards used by the National Cycle Network.

37273Photo #37273A modified sign in the Jubilee Gardens, Ely. Someone has decided to alter all the 'No Cycling' signs by adding a diagonal bar.

This is not good practice. If there is a genuine need to reinforce the message, adding the text 'No Cycling' is the proper solution.

37267Photo #37267See #37266 for details of cycle theft problems in Ferry Path. On this occasion, a cut cable lock has been thrown over a garden fence. I witnessed this theft in action, and reported it to the police, but there was no realistic chance that they could have attended.Other:

37266Photo #37266Cycle thieves have been seen breaking and cutting weak locks in Ferry Path, West Chesterton. Here is a broken lock from an occasion I witnessed. I called the police, but there was no realistic chance that they could have got there in time. See also #32767.

I managed to observe one of the thieves: he is black, in late teens or early twenties, broad-shouldered and has distinctive facial scarring. He is also distinctively broad-shouldered. He rides a black mountain bike with a suspension fork. I have seen him on occasions cycling different bikes, sometimes wheeling a second bike at the same time. The police are aware, but be careful!
