35276Photo #35276This is what the crossing of Upper Hanover Way at Leavygreave looked like BEFORE the tramway was put in. Not all is progress, unfortunately....you can see from Street View below what it looks like today.

The photo is scanned and from about 1994.

34375Photo #34375Junction of Hanover Way cycle path (Ring Route) with Peak Park Anniversary route. The angles at this junction are way too sharp: cycles don't turn on a pin. As a result cyclists tend to continue on the footway to Broomspring Lane. Also pedestrians tend to use the segregated cycle crossing as well as the ped crossing. A shared use arrangement would be better.Other:

34373Photo #34373Here the cycleway crosses the footpath - a bodge pending further development in the area. The footpath side is poorly maintained leading to peds encroaching on the cycleway.Other:

34371Photo #34371Cycleway along Hanover Way. Good: Plenty of space. Pedestrian side is away from the road so more pleasant for walkers - however it is possible for cyclists to veer round peds in the cycleway if they need to.Other:

34048Photo #34048Bike rack on the Toulouse-Paris
Intercites train. You need to be able to lift your bike off the ground to use it as intended, but the French like the English tend to ignore the "facilities" and just stow their bikes in the space. This train was 2 hours late reaching Paris
